Back for its third year, the #uckTheFilter campaign is here to prove that AI, filters & social media are fake and women - just like you & me - are most definitely real.
What is #uckTheFilter?
Originally started in 2022, this campaign is all about encouraging women to be Bold and embrace who they are through professional photography - without a filter insight. The campaign has reached new heights, with us even being asked to contribute to a research project by the House of Commons, which was published at the end of 2022. Join the campaign today and embrace who YOU are… And say #uckTheFilter.
Here’s exactly what is included:
All #uckTheFilter participants will be with us for 3 hours and this time includes:
- up to 60 minutes in the studio for your very own uckTheFilter Boudoir photo shoot
- up to two of your own outfit changes with photo posing advice to make sure you look, and feel, fabulous
- a same day viewing of your photo gallery, which usually lasts up to 60 minutes where you can choose your favourite posesA complimentary momento trophy gift, including an image of your choice, for you to keep and remember as you embrace your own “Be Bold Be You” moment as part of the uckTheFilter campaign

Throughout 2025, we are continuing our campaign to promote body positivity and educate those on the importance of preserving your mental health when using social media. A huge part of this is ensuring that there is an understanding of what filters can and can’t achieve and the knock on effects these filters can have on our own wellbeing if not used accurately and in a healthy way. Through our work in the studio we show women how to pose and use light to ensure that the things they hate most - such as muffin tops, excess chins, flabby arms and/or saggy boobs - are not seen. A huge amount of what we do in the studio is to ensure we’re able to get it right in camera so that BBBY clients can view their imagery straight away, with no edit (or filter) and they can really see who they are in a truly new and beautiful light.
This year we need you to say #uckTheFilter.

Now what’s the plan?
There is no criteria to meet in terms of look, body shape and/or personal image to be able to take part in this campaign! There is the option to take part in our 2025 gallery project however there is absolutely no obligation to do so. All we ask is that you help us spread the word on how important it is to be mindful of using filters on photographs… For example, did you know 40% of photographs on social media isn’t recognised as being changed in post production? By working together we guarantee you will inspire other real women as well as educate the wider public, the UK government and social media about why it’s important to embrace who we are, not what we think we should be.
